For this project I decided to focus my forecasting and content on the upcoming season of AW21 and compile this into a trend book. I wanted to focus on Autumn Winter 2021 in particular because I then would be able to utilise this trend research for the styling of my own photoshoots, my product development projects and my sample buying for a company. I covered a collection of micro-trends that I forecasted to reach popularity in the forthcoming season, and I carried it out as a short-term forecast since I am solely looking into micro-trends for one singular season cycle. I used a combination of both top-down and bottom-up forecasting and the information was derived from research into fashion shows, previous trends and social media observations of influencers and consumers.
